FLINT -- The Mott Bears were denied a third consecutive NJCAA national championship last year, and they looked poised to take out their anger on all who oppose them this season.
With seven players scoring in double-figures, the Bears walloped visiting Lake County at Ballenger Field House by a 128-91 final. Freshman Mike Brigham led the way with 22 points, while Flint-area alums Walter Trouser, Chatavius Turner and Demetrius Miller all made impressive collegiate debuts. Trouser fired a crowd-pleasing no-look pass which led to an easy lay-up for Brigham, while Turner and Miller combined for 24 points.
Highly-touted newcomer Doug Anderson contributed 12 points - 10 of which came on dunks - and sophomore Torian Oglesby added 12 points, as well.
The Bears are on the road to battle Kellogg at 7:30 on Monday night.
