The road isn't expected to re-open until next Memorial Day and that means less traffic will be traveling on 131 in areas life Fife Lake in Grand Traverse County.

Bridge work that started Tuesday has a main corridor of US 131 in Wexford County closed down for several months. Now road detours could mean less traffic for area businesses. MDOT crews are replacing the existing bridge over the Manistee River on US 131 just north of Manton and south of Fife Lake.
