LAKE GEORGE -- A community is gathering to help a Michigan teen diagnosed with Meningicoccal Meningitis.

The family reports on Sunday, May 23rd, 14 year old Matthew Meyers of Lake George was rushed to the E.R. in Clare. After several tests, he was diagnosed with Meningicoccal Meningitis. Meyers was transferred to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.

Now, his mom and family are in need of donations to help offset the costs of his treatment and travelling expenses from their home in Lake George to Saginaw.

The town of Lake George is taking donations to help and hosting a fundraiser bake sale. The sale will be Sunday, May 30th at 9:00 am at the Swiss Inn located at 105 W. Park St.
