A former Myrtle Beach firefighter thinks the city failed to promote him because of his status as an army reservist. Former Fire Captain Richard Cote filed a lawsuit.
Cote's federal lawsuit claims Myrtle Beach didn't promote him because Cote spent time overseas in his position as a US Army Reservist. Cote says he was fully qualified for two positions but was forced to resign. He's seeking monetary damages.
