SAGINAW CO. -- Good news for travelers. South-Bound I-675 has been opened in Saginaw County.

The following is an update from MDOT:

● I-675 SB now open in Saginaw County. Intermittent single lane closures remain in effect on southbound I-675 to allow crews to remove remaining barrier walls.

● Work on the Henry Marsh Bridge in downtown Saginaw has been completed and the bridge reopened today, Friday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. Crews recently completed pouring the bridge railings.

● Overall, work on SB I-675 lanes is approximately 99% complete and this project is scheduled to wrap-up by early December 2009.

● Southbound lanes from Michigan Avenue south to 5th and 6th Streets are now open.

● Crews recently completed pouring the remaining spans of the ramp from M-58 to southbound I-675. The ramp is now open.

● Once work is completed and the southbound lanes across the Henry Marsh Bridge reopen, crews will begin work on the northbound lanes across the bridge.

● Northbound lanes across the Henry Marsh Bridge are expected to close in early February 2009.

● One northbound lane is open from the Henry Marsh Bridge in downtown Saginaw north to Shattuck Road.

● I-675/I-75 North Junction: I-675 northbound ramp to I-75 northbound remains closed with traffic detoured for demolition work, which is weather dependent. This ramp is expected to reopen by Thanksgiving.

● The detour for the I-675 northbound to I-75 northbound ramp closure is I-75 southbound, to the Zilwaukee (Adams Street) exit, back to northbound I-75.

● Northbound I-675 construction is scheduled to begin in the spring 2010.
