Teacher resigns, may be due to racial slur

SAGINAW -- A Kempton Elementary School teacher has resigned after allegedly making a racial slur in front of students.

 

The Saginaw News reports the 24 year employee of the Saginaw School District was put on administrative leave on October 15th after allegedly making a racial slur to a group of elementary students.  They report, the teacher requested to resign, and at Wednesday's board meeting the district approved her resignation.

 

NBC25 spoke with the Saginaw School District.  Officials will not confirm or deny the allegations, but they do confirm the teacher has resigned.
