The Friday night lights are going out one by one at Lakeville High School in Otisville.

“They’re just old and rotten,” says school board president Chad Carriero.

He says the big lights that shine on the field will cost an estimated $100,000 to replace.

Right now the school is running temporary lights on generators, as it looks for a way to pay for permanent fixtures.

Parent Jesse Sanchez is hoping that generating awareness of the problem will generate donations.

Anyone who wants to donate can contact Superintendent Vickie Luoma at 810-591-3980.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to play your home games on Saturday afternoons, then you wouldn't even need lights!
