Freeland man assaulted, robbed in Township Park

Tittabawassee Township  Police are looking for a man responsible for an armed robbery in Township Park.

 

The incident happened around 11 a.m. on Thursday, when 63-year-old David Gould of Freeland was walking along one of he trails at the park. A man approached Gould with a weapon, demading his money. Gould gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect left on foot.

Gould reported the incident to park rangers and a perimeter was set up around the park. However, the suspect wasn't found.

 

 

Gould was taken to Covenant Hospital because of chest pains.

 

The suspect is described as a white male with long brownish hair, a dark green shirt and blue jeans. 

 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at (989) 695-9623 or call Crime Stoppers at (800) 422-JAIL, where a reward will be awarded for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
