HURON COUNTY -- An 18 year old Davison resident remains in critical condition following a Sunday afternoon crash.

Around 4:15 pm Sunday, the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department responded to an injury traffic crash at the intersection of Washburn and Pratt Rd. in Goodrich.

Deputies report Nathaniel Bergquist was traveling north on Washburn Rd when he slid into the intersection.  His vehicle then crashed into a van being driven Julie Woods.  The van belonged to North-Oakland Residential Services and there were four passengers on board.

After colliding, Bergquist’s vehicle rolled over on its roof before coming to a rest. The Hadley Fire Department had to extricate Bergquist from the vehicle.

Bergquist was taken to Hurley Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.  Woods was not injured, and the other passengers were taken to Genesys Medical Center in Grand Blanc for non-life threatening wounds.

The intersection of Pratt Rd. and Washburn Rd. was closed for over 3 hours for rescue and investigative purposes.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, but the incident remains under investigation.
