Some familiar faces were on the Ellen Show, seen on NBC25. Nicole Opperman and Joe Soyring of Millington shared the story of how last  month’s tornado threw 14 month old Blake 60 feet.

NBC25 was happy to assist the Ellen show, by providing video from our news coverage. During the show the 911 call was also played and viewers heard the emotion and desperation in Nicole’s voice.

Nicole: “We need to help him!”
911: “I know I've got everyone coming.”
Nicole: “There's no house over there.. My baby's over there! Okay! Please hurry.. My baby please hurry oh please."

First there were tears from everyone as they relived the night the Millington family’s home was ripped apart. Then a different kind of tears, tears of joy as Ellen presented the family with two $10,000 gift cards, one from Sears and one from CVS Pharmacy. Then, Joe has a surprise of his own you’ll have to watch the video to see.
