Mayville, Michigan is home to the Sunflower Festival, which begins Thursday. This is the 19th year for the festival. There were a few farmers who grew sunflowers commercially and from that evolved the Sunflower Festival.

Saturday night is Mayville's famous demolition derby sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. The festival wraps up on Sunday with a parade right through the center of town.
