There's positive job news for the area.Nearly one hundred companies from around the country were in Mid-Michigan Thursday talking to high school students.

Kettering University held a job fair because the need for engineers continues to grow. Companies are talking to kids even before they take their first class at Kettering. This was the first national co-op employment fair for the school.

Normally the engineering university holds fairs when students are on campus, but not this time. Nearly two thirds to three quarters of the students invited Thursday were only in their senior year of high school.

Kettering University officials say so many companies wanted to participate, they actually had to cut some off.

I read that they were talking...not hiring! Didn't mention that any of the jobs would be in MI either.
