METEOROLOGIST - NBC25 (WEYI-TV) in the Flint/Saginaw, Michigan, market is looking for a Meteorologist to join our energetic and successful anchor team. We produce a two- hour morning show Monday-Friday and two half-hour shows (6:00pm and 11:00pm) seven days a week. We’re searching for an energetic and knowledgeable meteorologist who knows weather and its importance to Mid-Michigan. We operate with Weather Central's :LIVE, 3D:LIVE, ESP:LIVE, and WxWarn. The job consists of weekend weather, fill-in for weekday weather and reporting 3 days a week.
The winning candidate must have a strong and energetic delivery, be willing to help represent the station at outside station-sponsored events and school visits as well as doing weather presentations. Organizational skills are particularly important as well as the ability to work well with others. A minimum of one year weather anchoring experience, a seal is preferred, a college degree and news computer skills. The final candidate must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Sports Anchor/Reporter Internships -- NBC25 (WEYI-TV) and the CW46 (WBSF-TV) in the Flint/Saginaw/Bay City/Midland, Michigan market has Sports Anchor/Reporter Internships available in the News Department for 2009/2010.
Required Skills: Looking for motivated college students with an obvious passion and knowledge of sports for internships in the Sports Department. Students MUST be able to work every Friday night and be able to start in late December or early January. Other nights of the week may be scheduled. Experience editing non-linear video (Avid, Final Cut Pro) is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to write a script to voice over highlights. Candidates must receive credit from their school in order to qualify. Candidates will not be paid, but will receive internship credit while learning valuable skills and have the opportunity to create demo reels.
Internships at NBC25 (WEYI-TV) and the CW46 (WBSF-TV) are available for full-time Juniors and Seniors enrolled full-time in 2-4 year colleges and universities. Interns receive college credit only and no financial compensation. The duration of an internship is generally one full semester per student. However, the specific length of the internship, minimum hours required to work to receive credits, eligibility and college credits awarded for successful completion of the program must be verified with the student’s faculty advisor before any internship is made final.
